Bonfires & Hayrides in Des Peres Park. Des Peres Parks & Recreation offers two packages for GROUP Hayrides and Bonfires, one for just a bonfire, the other with a bonfire at a picnic pavilion. Dates: select Fridays & Saturdays, October 3rd, 4th, 10th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, 31st & November 1st; 6:30pm-10:30pm; hayride begins at 8:15pm. Max capacity is 30 people. This 42.5 acre park features picnic sites, fishing lake, bike and jogging trail, gazebo, seasonal lighted tennis and pickleball courts, seasonal soccer fields, playgrounds, a picnic pavilion, seasonal play fountain, nature area and more. Throughout the year, several events take place in the park, such as the Pumpkin Glow and hayrides in the fall.
Directions: Located on the north side of Manchester Road, just east of New Ballas Road. There are two entrances to the park. One off of Manchester and on off of New Ballas, opposite Ridgefield Drive.
