23rd Annual Celebration of the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing: "Unconditional Freedom: Live Free or Die Trying" at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This year's celebration is a two part event, September 20th & 27th, held at the Missouri Botanical Garden and at the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing. Enjoy local artists and makers, historical performances, music, gospel choirs, and childrens activities; food and drink will be available for purchase. This is a FREE community event. The Missouri Botanical Garden is located in the Shaw Neighborhood of St. Louis Missouri, and adjacent to Tower Grove Park. The Garden hosts many special events throughout the year, such as the Japanese Festival, the holiday Garden Glow, the Whitaker Music Festival, and many plant shows and art exhibits. St. Louis City/County residents enjoy FREE admission Wednesdays and Saturdays, 7am-noon, with proof of residency.
