Greenwood Festival at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Festival goers will learn about how important freshly harvested wood (ie "greenwood) was to frontier life. The Historic Daniel Boone Home is a four-story stone structure built between 1804 and 1810 in the Femme Osage Valley of St. Charles County. The adjoining Boonesfield Village is a gathered collection of historic Missouri buildings representing the early 19th century that have been reconstructed to form a living-history village. The home and village can be toured year-round and special events are held there through-out the year.
Directions: Take Highway 94, west of Interstate 64, to Highway F. Located off of Highway F in Defiance, Missouri.
