Fall Color Canoe Float on the Meramec River. Dates: Tuesday, October 22nd & Saturday, October 26th. St. Louis County Park Rangers will lead this 10-mile float on the Meramec River. Floaters will meet at the boat ramp at the Meramec Levee Recreation Area in Valley Park and travel to the put-in at Route 66 State Park. Bring a lunch, water, binoculars and other personal items you will need for this ALL-day float. Canoes, paddles and life jackets are provided. Advance registration is required. Meramec Landing Park is one of Valley Park, Missouri city parks. It is 6.25 acres of parkland and features a concrete boat ramp to the Meramec River.
Directions: From I-44 take Exit #242 for Highway 141 North. From 141, turn right onto Marshall Road. Turn left onto Beckett Memorial Drive. Turn right onto St. Louis Ave. Turn right onto Cal Hedrick Way. Pass all the ballfields until you reach the parking lot. Park is at the end of Meramec Levee Recreational Park.
