Way of Lights Holiday Lights Display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows

The annual Christmas light display - Way of Lights - at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Dates: November 22nd through December 31st. Along with driving through the holiday lights display, visitors can also enjoy a donkey, pony or camel ride, the petting zoo, kettle corn and other refreshments, the Christmas wreath auction and quilt raffle, the Christmas Lego display and more! (There is a fee for some activities) Military Mondays and Family Night Tuesdays with special discounts for activities. Food and drink will be available in the Visitors Center, Tuesday-Sunday, 5-9pm. Admission to the display is FREE, but donations are appreciated! See website for ALL the details!

Activities, Visitors Center and Gift shop are CLOSED on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Day, BUT the outdoor light display will remain open!

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows is owned and operated by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The shrine blends spirituality, unique architecture, and imaginative landscaping to create a serene setting. Fourteen devotional areas throughout the grounds offer visitors places for quiet reflection for all faiths and denominations. Each Christmas season, the Shrine puts on a beautiful Christmas light display called "The Way of Lights" and many other events open to the public that are held throughout the year.

The Shrine is open year-round and has a restaurant, gift shop, and motel on-site. Hours for the shrine are 6am-10pm every day. Daily masses are also offered year round at the Church of Our Lady of the Snows. There is NO admission fee to the Shrine.

Directions: Located in Belleville, Illinois. From Downtown St. Louis: Take I-64 east across the Poplar St. Bridge to I-255 south, take I-255 south to IL State Highway 15 east (exit 17A), go 1 mile and the Shrine is at the top of the hill on the right-hand side (15 minutes from downtown St. Louis).
