The World Chess Hall of Fame and Museum is located in the Central West End Neighborhood of the City of St. Louis, Missouri and houses the U.S. Chess Hall of Fame, as well. It is housed in a historic home, right across the street from the internationally recognized Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis. The World Chess Hall of Fame features exhibits of permanent collections and temporary exhibits. Those collections and exhibits display tournament memorabilia, medals, trophies, historic chess sets, books, journals, photographs of historic games and great chess players, past and present.
The Hall of Fame has special events throughout the year, such as monthly music series, family days, lectures and community events. Hours of the Hall of Fame and Museum are: Mon - CLOSED, Tues and Wed - 10am-5pm, Thur and Fri - 10am-9pm, Sat - 10am-5pm, and Sun - 12pm-5pm. Admission is free, but a $3 individual donation and a $5 family donation is appreciated. Some special exhibits will require an admission fee.
