Augusta, Missouri overlooks the Missouri River and was founded in 1836 by a settler that came to St. Charles County with Daniel Boone. The historic town is known for its wineries, bed and breakfasts and restaurants. The Katy Trail State Park Bike Trail has a trail head located in the town. Several annual events are hosted in the quaint historic town.
