Fall Festival of the Arts & Crafts in Historic Washington Missouri. This annual festival takes place over three days at the Washington Farmers Market on Main Street. Dates: Friday-Sunday, September 27th-29th. Festival goers will enjoy the work of artisans and crafters featuring unique handcrafted items such as jewelry, artwork, clothing, handmade furniture, home decor, leather goods, seasonal items and more. Washington, Missouri is a historic city located in Franklin County along the Missouri River. It is right in the middle of Missouri wine country with twelve wineries within minutes of Washington. Shops and boutiques, restaurants and cafes, bed & breakfasts are located in many of the historical buildings. Historic Washington hosts a wide variety of annual events throughout the year and makes a great day-trip from St. Louis.
Directions: From St. Louis, take Interstate 44 west to Exit #251 Highway 100 toward Washington MO. In about 10 miles, make a right (north) on Highway 47 and continue about 2 miles to Washington. From St. Charles, take either Highway 94 (to west of Dutzow) or Interstate 70 (to Exit #193 at Warrenton) to Highway 47. Go south on Highway 47 (from I-70 for about 24 miles, from Highway 94 for about 5 miles) and cross over the Missouri River into Washington.
