Oktoberfest at Frontier Park in Historic Saint Charles. Oktoberfest takes place over three days: Friday-Sunday, September 27th-29th. This Fall favorite is fun for the whole family with food and gift vendors, a children's area, a vintage car show on Sunday, brat eating contest and Dachshund races, live entertainment with German and popular music bands all three days, and of course, lots of cold adult beverages to be found in the multiple Bier Gartens! Frontier park hosts many annual events such as the Festival of the Little Hills, Riverfest-a Fourth of July Celebration, St. Charles Oktoberfest and many more! It is also a major trailhead for the Katy Trail State Park. The area that the park covers was the location of the campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition when it stopped in St. Charles for several days, May 15, 1804 through May 20, 1804, and on the return trip for one day on September 21, 1806.
