OPENING DAY! The Festival of the Little Hills is held along Main Street in Historic St. Charles and in Frontier Park. DATES: Friday-Sunday, August 16th-18th. Activities include demonstrations by craftspeople and artisans with more than 300 craft booths with items for sale. Live music and entertainment can be found on the Main Stage in Frontier Park and on Main Street. Families will enjoy Kids Corner. There will also be a wide variety of food and beverages for purchase. Admission to the Festival is FREE! (No pets allowed in Frontier Park during the Festival but, are permitted on the Katy Trail.) See website for more information.

Frontier park hosts many annual events such as the Festival of the Little Hills, Riverfest-a Fourth of July Celebration, St. Charles Oktoberfest and many more! It is also a major trailhead for the Katy Trail State Park. The area that the park covers was the location of the campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition when it stopped in St. Charles for several days, May 15, 1804 through May 20, 1804, and on the return trip for one day on September 21, 1806.
