Hawken Classic 2024 at the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum. Dates: Friday-Sunday, May 17th-19th. Enjoy learning the history of the Hawken rifle that was made right here in St. Louis and used by the explorers on the Lewis and Clark Expedition! There will be vendor and Rendezvous camps where visitors will hear reenactors will tell the stories of historical people and the Hawken rifle's contribution to American History. The Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum is located in Historic St. Charles near the location of the Campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in Frontier Park. The Museum has displays of items used in the expedition, full size replicas of the boats used by Lewis and Clark, nature displays and a gift shop with unique items. There is an admission fee.

Museum Hours are:
Monday-Saturday | 10am-5pm
Sunday | 12pm-5pm
Closed New Years Day, Easter Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas

Directions: From Interstate 70, take exit 229 (Fifth Street). Turn right at Boones Lick Road. Shortly after crossing over South Main Street, turn right into large parking lot. The Boat House and Nature Center is on the far side of the parking lot, next to the river.
