Battle of St Louis Day at the St Louis Gateway Arch. Visitors will enjoy learning the history and significance of the battle that took place on what is now the Arch grounds on May 26, 1780 when the British and Native Americans attacked the village of St. Louis. Reenactors will be in period dress and 1700 cannons and rifles will be fired. See website for more info. Admission is FREE!

The Arch is located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, along the Mississippi Riverfront. The Arch, also known as the Gateway Arch, is a monument that commemorates the Western expansion of the United States and is our Nation's tallest monument. The Arch is part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial which also includes the Old Courthouse and the Museum of Westward Expansion. A visit to the Arch is not complete without riding one of the innovative trams to the top.
Directions: Located Downtown on the St. Louis riverfront, between the Eads Bridge and the Poplar Street Bridge (Highways 64/40, 70). Entrance to the Gateway Arch National Park can be had from 4th Street or Memorial Drive, between Chestnut and Market Streets. See website complete directions.
