With winter comes cold weather and snow. Many winter activities and events need the combo of those two elements to be able to take place, and luckily for us, the St. Louis region gets its fair share of both! Art Hill in Forest Park is a favorite place for sledding, even with the lightest of snow falls. Enjoy ice skating at the outdoor Steinberg Ice Skating Rink in Forest Park or at the one of the several rinks in the Metro Area. Most of the St. Louis County Parks allow cross country skiing and sledding, and Sioux Passage Park is a designated Winter Sports area that allows snowmobiling. Like to down hill ski? Head out to Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Eureka! The Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, the bluffs of Fort Belle Fontaine Park or the observatory deck at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary are great places for winter Eagle watching. Plus, annual events such as The Loop Ice Carnival, Mardi Gras, Fete de Glace Festival and more, all happen in Winter!
Below are a some of the many events in and around the St. Louis region that help you enjoy the Winter weather!
