The Old Ordnance Room is located in Jefferson Barracks Park and is part of the Jefferson Barracks Historic Site that was founded in 1826 as a Federal military base. The Ordnance Room was built in 1851 and houses temporary exhibits with military themes. The Ordnance Room is FREE to visit. Guided tours can be booked in advance. Hours: Wednesday-Sunday, Noon-4pm.

The Powder Magazine Museum, built in 1857, is located nearby and houses a permanent exhibit of artifacts that showcase the history of Jefferson Barracks from 1826 to 1946. Admission is also FREE to the Powder Magazine. Hours: Wednesday-Sunday, Noon-4pm.

Directions: Located in Jefferson Barracks Park in Lemay, Missouri. Take Telegraph Road/Highway 231/Kingston Drive to the South Broadway entrance to the park. South Broadway turns into Grant Road. Make a left on Gark Road then a right onto Bagby Road. The two Jefferson Barracks Museums are located off of Bagby Road. The Old Ordnance Room is on the left on Bagby Road, and the Powder Magazine, is located further south, just off of Bagby Road on CCC Road, across the parking lot that is on the left. The Visitors Center to the park is on North Road, accessible from either Gark Road OR Grant Road.
