Over There: WWI From Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis & Missouri Exhibit at the Old Ordnance Room Museum at Jefferson Barracks Park. Open Wednesday - Sunday, noon - 4pm, March 3rd - December 30th. This exhibit is FREE to visit, a donation of $3 is suggested. See website for more information.
The Old Ordnance Room is located in Jefferson Barracks Park and is part of the Jefferson Barracks Historic Site that was founded in 1826 as a Federal military base. The Ordnance Room was built in 1851 and houses temporary exhibits with military themes. The Ordnance Room is FREE to visit. Guided tours can be booked in advance. Hours: Wednesday-Sunday, Noon-4pm.
The Powder Magazine Museum, built in 1857, is located nearby and houses a permanent exhibit of artifacts that showcase the history of Jefferson Barracks from 1826 to 1946. Admission is also FREE to the Powder Magazine. Hours: Wednesday-Sunday, Noon-4pm.
