Blues on the Block by the National Blues Museum. These FREE outdoor concerts happen on Saturday evenings thru August, just across the street from the Museum at 6th Street and Washington Avenue. The National Blues Museum opened its doors to the public on April 1, 2016. The museum celebrates and explores "the blues" musical genre as the foundation of all modern music with artifact exhibits, a state-of-the-art theater, and high impact technology. An admission fee for the museum is charged. Special events are also held throughout the year.
