Raptor Saturdays at the Audubon Center at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Dates: Saturdays, January 16th - February 13th. Visitors will be able to get up-close and personal in a Meet & Greet with several raptors such as owls and hawks, presented by Treehouse Wildlife Center. Take a guided Swan and Eagle Walk to see eagles and Trumpeter Swans and other waterfowl. Or enjoy viewing from the Audubon Center viewing area and trails on your own. The Audubon Center at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary is located in West Alton, MO. The Sanctuary is designated as an Important Bird Area by the Audubon Society. It encompasses a total of 3700 acres with over 8.5 miles of trails that wind through prairies, marshes, bottomland forest habitats and feature viewing platforms and bird blinds that give excellent viewing of a variety of birds and other wildlife. The Audubon Center gives a 140 degree view of wildlife through its large windows and high-powered scopes. It hosts many special events throughout the year.

The Audubon Center is open seven days a week from 8am-4pm except Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve and New Years Day. The Sanctuary is open 24 hours a day. Admission is FREE!
