Race For the Rivers and Festival at Frontier Park in Historic St Charles

The annual "Race For the Rivers and Festival" is held at Frontier Park in Historic St. Charles. Join paddlers as they canoe, kayak or SUP in a 20 mile race from Weldon Spring or 40 mile race from Washington MO, on the Missouri River to Frontier Park. The festival includes, live music, fun activities and food. The race and festival bring awareness to water recreation, education and restoration and is sponsored by Greenway Network. Frontier park hosts many annual events such as the Festival of the Little Hills, a Fourth of July Celebration, St. Charles Oktoberfest, the Lewis & Clark Heritage Days Festival, Missouri Irishfest and many more! It is also a major trailhead for the Katy Trail State Park. The area that the park covers was the location of the campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition when it stopped in St. Charles for several days, May 15, 1804 through May 20, 1804, and on the return trip for one day on September 21, 1806.
