Augusta Plein Air Art Festival in Augusta Missouri

The 16th annual Augusta Plein Air Art Festival will begin on Thursday, April 18th and go through Sunday, April 29th. "Plein Air" means "outdoors" and artists will converge on Augusta, Missouri, as well as in Defiance, New Melle, and Washington, to paint the picturesque spring setting. Daily registration, April 18th-29th, will be held at the Augusta Visitors Center on Walnut Street from 8am-3pm. Plus enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Augusta's wineries, shops and restaurants. Augusta, Missouri overlooks the Missouri River and was founded in 1836 by a settler that came to St. Charles County with Daniel Boone. The historic town is known for its wineries, bed and breakfasts and restaurants. The Katy Trail State Park Bike Trail has a trail head located in the town. Several annual events are hosted in the quaint historic town.
Directions: Located in St Charles County. Take Interstate 64 west to Highway 94, go south about 18 miles to left on Jackson Street to Augusta.
