Living History Hayrides at Fort Belle Fontaine, Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th. Enjoy a Living History Hayride at historic Fort Belle Fontaine where costumed re-enactors will portray characters from several periods of history such as soldiers from the War of 1812, the Civil War, WWII and others. Fort Belle Fontaine Park is a St. Louis County Park and is located in North St. Louis County. It is a historic park in that is was the location of the first US Military post, Fort Belle Fontaine, that was established west of the Mississippi River after the Louisiana Purchase, and was built in 1805. The park is also the location of events throughout the year, such as family hayrides and ghost stories in the fall.
Directions: Located off of Bellefontaine Road in Spanish Lake, Missouri. Take 367/Lewis and Clark Blvd north of Interstate 270 to right onto Parker Road. From Parker, turn left onto Bellefontaine Road and continue to entrance of park then on to parking lot at the Mississippi River.
