The Wildey Theatre was built in 1909 as an opera house and closed in 1984 as a movie theatre. Today, owned by the City of Edwardsville, Illinois, it is a live entertainment venue and a wide variety performances of local and national talent occur in the newly renovated theatre

.Directions: From downtown St. Louis, take Interstate 64 east, cross over Mississippi River on the Poplar Street Bridge, continue on I-55N/I-64E in Illinois. Keep left at the fork to continue on I-55N. Take Exit #10 for I-255. Take Exit #3 for New Poag Road, turn right and follow for 5.5 miles. Turn left on North Main Street. Wildey Theatre is located at the corner of North Main and W College Street.
