MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! Solar Sundays at the McDonnell Planetarium. Meet outside the McDonnell Planetarium to enjoy safely viewing the Sun through a variety of solar telescopes and safe viewing techniques and see features like sunspots and solar prominences. These events are FREE and occur weather permitting. Solar Sundays occur on the 3rd Sunday of each month or weekly on Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day (2025: June 1st-August 31st), 11am-3pm. The Saint Louis Science Center is located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Visitors can enjoy "hands on" STEM learning exhibits and OMNIMAX movies. The Science Center also includes the James S. McDonnell Planetarium located across the walkway in Forest Park. The Science Center is open Thursday-Monday; closed Tuesday and Wednesday. General admission is FREE, with some special attractions requiring tickets.
