Superb Owl Family Hoot Out at Broemmelsiek Park. Families can spend a fun night out learning about owls through activities such as owl pellet dissection, games, and a walk and hoot as it gets dark. This is a FREE event but pre-registration is required. See website for more info
Broemmelsiek Park features fishing lakes, a dog area, and trails for hiking, biking and equestrian use. The park has a unique feature, an area for astronomy viewing with concrete pads equipped with electricity and hosts free weekly Friday night public star viewing sessions (weather permitting). The park hosts several events throughout the year.
Directions: Located in Wentzville, Missouri. Take Interstate 64/40 to the Highway DD and Winghaven Blvd exit. Go 4 miles west on Highway DD. Turn right on to Schwede Road. Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Complex is less than one mile and on the right side (north side) off of Schwede.
