Little Nature Explorers at Broemmelsiek Park. Children 5 and under will enjoy learning about a different topics each month such as birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and more through hikes, stories, and activities. See website for more info and to register; $5 per child.
Broemmelsiek Park features fishing lakes, a dog area, and trails for hiking, biking and equestrian use. The park has a unique feature, an area for astronomy viewing with concrete pads equipped with electricity and hosts free weekly Friday night public star viewing sessions (weather permitting). The park hosts several events throughout the year.
Directions: Located in Wentzville, Missouri. Take Interstate 64/40 to the Highway DD and Winghaven Blvd exit. Go 4 miles west on Highway DD. Turn right on to Schwede Road. Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Complex is less than one mile and on the right side (north side) off of Schwede.
