Full Moon Bike Ride OR Walk OR Paddle a Canoe at Simpson Park. Enjoy a bike ride or walk on the trail around the lake or paddle a canoe (yours or rent one) on the lake, all by the light of the full moon. A bonfire, all-you-can-eat hot dogs and roasted marshmallows round out the evening. There is a fee per person, (or canoe) per activity. Dates for Full Moon Bike Ride, Walk and Paddle: 5/21, 6/19, 7/19, 8/16, 9/15 & 10/16. Canoe rentals have two sessions to choose from: 6-7:30pm OR 7:30-9pm. Bike or Walk session is 7pm-10pm (6pm-9pm on 10/16).
Simpson Park is a 198 acre St. Louis County park located in Valley Park Missouri. Amenities include fishing in the 72-acre lake, boating in the lake and Meramec River, trails, picnic sites, playground, athletic fields and more. The St. Louis County Parks and Rec Department holds boating, biking and other events at the park throughout the year.
