Riverfest 2017 at Frontier Park in Historic St. Charles. This annual Independence Day celebration takes place over four days and features live music and entertainment on the Jaycee Stage, carnival rides, food and craft vendors, plus a fireworks display at 9:20pm on Monday and Tuesday nights, July 3rd and 4th. An Independence Day parade will occur on July 4th at 10am. Admission is FREE! See website for additional information on featured music artists and parade route.
Frontier park hosts many annual events such as the Festival of the Little Hills, a Fourth of July Celebration, St. Charles Oktoberfest, the Lewis & Clark Heritage Days Festival, Missouri Irishfest and many more! It is also a major trailhead for the Katy Trail State Park. The area that the park covers was the location of the campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition when it stopped in St. Charles for several days, May 15, 1804 through May 20, 1804, and on the return trip for one day on September 21, 1806.
Directions: Located along the Missouri River in Historic St. Charles. Accessible from Interstate 70 by going north on 5th Street to east (right) on Boone's Lick Road, to left on Riverside Drive.
